Signatures let you collect a hand-drawn signature on your mobile device. The signature saves as an image attached to the order or transaction record. You can view it later from the desktop.
| Action | Where |
|---|---|
| Capture signature after delivery | Deliver Package flow |
| Capture signature during packing | Pack Stock (requires Admin Option 153) |
| Capture signature after transactions | Receive, Issue (when configured) |
| Test the signature pad | Settings > Test Signature |
| View a saved signature | Desktop > Shipping Orders > package record |
When the signature screen opens, you see a blank drawing area. This is the signature canvas. Draw your signature on the canvas using your finger or a stylus.
Two buttons appear below the canvas:
The signature saves as a JPEG image (400x200 pixels). It links to the shipping order, delivery, or transaction you were working on.
The signature screen comes up automatically at certain points:
After completing a delivery. When you finish the Deliver Package flow, the signature screen appears before the delivery is marked complete.
During packing operations. If your system has packing enabled (Admin Option 153), a signature may be required when packing is finished.
After certain transactions. Receive and issue transactions can be configured to require a signature on completion.
You can test the signature pad at any time from the mobile Settings screen.
Use this to confirm the touch input is working before starting a delivery route.
Signatures sync to the desktop after they are captured. You can find them in the desktop shipping order screens.
If your device loses connection while capturing signatures, the signatures are saved on the device. They sync automatically when the connection is restored.
